The project will address recent significant demand to utilise new technological advances in CNC machinery in Shopfitting, Interior Construction and Wood Machining sectors.

After the project, the skills gap in CNC opeation will be reduced as CNC operators are given the skills they need to carry out their work.

The project will expand on previous work completed and will produce a series of Timber Frame Competency Award Scheme booklets

The Silver level will initially be completed(bronze and gold to follow).  

At present there is no way of auditing people's involvement. Therefore this project will deliver a self-certification process online.

After the project these documents will be made available on the STA web site for industry to download and use, helping to standardise skills within the structural timber sector.
